About Anaya
Anaya Chao is 12 years old and lives in Richmond, California. She attends Prospect Sierra Middle School in El Cerrito, and will be going into the eight grade in the fall of 2024. Anaya has been playing golf for three and a half years at Richmond Country Club, and has been playing in tournaments for a month. As well as golf, she also plays soccer for Eastshore Alliance Futbol Club and plays for her school’s girl’s basketball team. Anaya enjoys playing golf, and seeks to pursue playing it in high school and possibly college. She finds it interesting how golf can test her limits and stretch her comfort zone. She is very competitive, and she loves how golf can encourage her to improve and become a better golfer. As well as golf, Anaya also likes doing other activities in her free time. Some of those activities consist of traveling, playing and watching sports, hanging out with her friends and family, listening to music, and trying new things. Anaya loves to help others, so in the future, Anaya would like to be a politician or lawyer.

She finally overcome her fear and participated in a US kids golf tournament. Her first game in June 2024 score was 99
